On 6th February, Home-Start Chichester & District was honoured to be awarded a Community Award by Chichester City Council.
Councillor Judy Gershater read the citation for the Community Award on behalf of the Council, highlighting the important work that Home-Start staff and volunteers in Chichester and the surrounding district do every day to support families with young children who are struggling for a variety of reasons.
It was wonderful to have Home-Start’s work to support children and families recognised in this way, and also to stand alongside other organisations which are working to positively influence life in Chichester. These organisations included Sophie’s Legacy, Chichester Pride, the Theatre Department at the University of Chichester, and the volunteers at St Wilfrid’s Hospice.
Lois Rowlands, manager of Home-Start Chichester & District was pleased to accept the award from Chichester City Mayor Sarah Quail.
